ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Richard Bale is a lifelong modeler who went from Lionel 0-27 to HO scale at age 12. He wrote a column for Tom Ayres National Model Railroad Industry Newsletter from 1962-1971, and authored the "Meet Your Manufacturer" series for the NMRA Bulletin beginning in 1963.
Richard is the founding editor/publisher of Rail Line News (1995-2001), editor/publisher of The Semaphore official publication of the North County Model Railroad Society, and news editor for Model Railroad Hobbyist magazine beginning in 2009.
Richard has published some 400 articles focusing mostly on hobby manufacturers and their products.
